UPDATED COVID-19 EVENT POLICIES FOR ALL ENTRANTS AND ATTENDEES
Effective April 16, 2021, the Mesa County Commissioners and the Mesa County Board of Public Health (MCPH) adopted the “FREE TO CHOOSE” initiative. That means individuals can choose whether they want to continue wearing face coverings, stay at home, or frequent businesses that may or may not require face coverings, social distancing, or other safety measures. MCPH will continue to encourage all residents to wear a face covering and to social distance whenever possible. However, it is ultimately up to individuals to choose what level or risk they are comfortable taking and how to best protect themselves and their loved ones.
Therefore, Western Colorado Agility Club will be adopting this initiative as our policy at the May 14 – 16, 2021 AKC Trial.
Please keep in mind that this policy could change and we will keep you posted if any changes are forthcoming.
We ask that if you feel ill, are running a temperature, or have been exposed to COVID in the last two weeks that you stay home. All attendees/volunteers MUST SIGN the COVID AGREEMENT/WAIVER OF LIABILITY prior to entrance to the event.
All attendees are asked to adhere to COVID safety measures including washing your hands and six foot social distancing guidelines whenever possible. We ask that you observe the six foot social distancing markers in the que lines prior to entering the ring.
We will have hand sanitizer available at several locations. WCAC will not provide masks or gloves for Exhibitors.
There will be a food truck on site for breakfast and lunch. We ask that you not bring any food to share with exhibitors (such as MACH cakes).
The club will be providing a leash runner or you can put your leash in your pocket.
A club volunteer will be distributing the awards and ribbons at the large covered picnic area on the West edge of the park. Water will be available and distributed by a club volunteer in this same area.
Course maps will be sent to you via the Remind app and will be posted in several locations on the park grounds. No copies will be available at the trial. No score sheets will be provided to exhibitors. Results will be posted and available on the Remind app and/or at lookoutk9trials.com.
